I guess the Buick is more over the line, but ugh.

I don’t mind front plates, but that looks like a pretty good time not to have them.

Buick lover
always parkin’ under cover
‘Til I talked to your daddy, he say:
He said, “You ain’t seen nothin’
‘Til you run out of muffins
Then you’re sure to be a-changin’ your ways.”
I met a Ford Taurus, those sedans just bore us
But this time I could reminisce
‘Cause the best things of drivin’
At the store where
I’m arrivin’
Only started with a little kiss
Like this!
PARK THIS WAY!

Man, I’m not sure which way to lean on this. I’m sure the Buick’s over the line, but maybe the Ford is, too. Was the camera DIRECTLY over the yellow line when the pic was taken, or are we looking at this from a slight angle? Might have to break out a plumb line for this one...
Either way , what should be the absolute border of a parking space? Does one’s spot extend to the center of that painted line, or is the entire width of that line “no man’s land”? I know the lines on the sides of the car need to be avoided by a wide margin because we all need to open doors and have sufficient walking space, but I’ve never really made up my mind about this end of the parking spot.

I was thinking the exact opposite. This is a pretty good case for having one mounted front and center, in order to take incidental damage rather than your painted bumper.

Any misalignment (or if only one car has one) and those acorn nuts are going right through the other car’s painted bumper though.

It’s like football, if you break the plane you’re over the line.

The Buick was more over the line, but what we’ll never know is who parked second.
